Our mentor training program and curriculum will teach you how to facilitate our proprietary Discover Your Purpose Mentorship program.
Afterward, through our mentor pairing program, you’ll be partnered with schools or youth groups to deliver the Discover Your Purpose curriculum and make a difference in the lives of young people in your community!

Mentor training…
What you’ll learn:
→ Master the ability to facilitate exercises that help young people explore their interests, values, and personalities.
→ Learn proven and approachable ways to shift how students navigate their emotions.
→ Start conversations that enable youth to tune into their dreams and turn them into a life purpose.
→ Help young people feel more secure in their identity.
The CAYS Discover Your Purpose program is fun, yet powerful.
Our mentors work with groups of students between 10 and 19 years old. The program helps them connect and reflect—and empowers them to focus on, understand, and nurture themselves in new and meaningful ways that ripple into the classroom and into the world!
Is the CAYS mentor program right for you?
Our mentors are adult community members:
→ Professional and business leaders
→ Working or stay-at-home parents
→ Educators and youth group leaders
We also welcome company teams who want to give more than a monetary sponsorship but also want to become skilled Discover Your Purpose facilitators.
You believe each young person in your community matters and deserves to feel understood and supported, no matter their background.
You believe that feeling a deeper sense of purpose can contribute to a sense of well-being and confidence.
You believe educators work hard and feel a desire to step up and help enrich classroom cultures with support and positivity.
You’ve wanted to participate in a community organization that elevates young people but haven’t (until now) found the right group.
You believe that the success of a community depends upon the well-being of its youth.
It breaks your heart to see kids struggle to understand where they fit into a world that often feels driven by superficiality.
At the end of your mentor training, you’ll have the tools and support to feel confident facilitating the Discover Your Purpose Mentorship program.
CAYS is based in San Diego, California but we provide Discover Your Purpose mentor training to people and organizations throughout the United States and the world.
We can help you start a local chapter of CAYS and provide the framework for building community awareness, recruiting and training mentors, and strategizing sponsor buy-in.
